Since 1992, the Sexual Minorities Liaison Committee (SMLC), a group of volunteer community members, has worked with Edmonton Police Service (EPS) for the public safety and security needs of the lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, transsexual, two-spirited, and queer (LGBTQ) community
