The Alberta Civil Liberties Research Centre

About Us

Youthsafe.net provides links to information and resources, in Alberta, for lesbian, gay, bisexual and transsexual (“LGBTQ”) people and allies. The website is focused on services for youth and young adults.

Youthsafe.net is updated and monitored regularly by the Alberta Civil Liberties Research Centre (“ACLRC”). The mission of the ACLRC is to promote respect for civil liberties and human rights in Alberta through research and education to contribute to a more just and inclusive community.

The ACLRC:

  • teaches students, community members and organizations about human rights, including the rights of LGBTQ people;
  • undertakes research on a variety of human rights and civil liberties topics; and
  • provides information and referrals to the public on issues of human rights and civil liberties.

The ACLRC website can be found at www.aclrc.com. LGBTQ resources provided by the ACLRC can be found at www.aclrc.com/lgbt/.
