Legal Resources

Law Society of Alberta – Find-A-Lawyer

This website allows you to search for a lawyer by region and practice area. It is a good idea to read the How-To guide before starting. This page is also useful, as it explains the different practice areas, if you are unsure what kind of lawyer you need.

Legal clinics provide free legal advice to no and low-income individuals, usually based on eligibility criteria. This typically consists of a short (30-45 minute) meeting with a volunteer lawyer.
