What Can You Do?

Before we begin, take a moment to examine your role in the School System.

  • What kind of changes are you able to make?
  • What areas are you responsible for?
  • What concerns do you have about taking action against bullying in your school or organization?

It is important to give some thought on what areas you can work on in your organization. There may be limitations imposed on you by the structure of the organization or school you are working in. Be clear about what areas you can work on and what areas are the responsibility of others. You can engage others in change in your school, but it can be frustrating to try to change something alone when you really need to engage others in that change. This online seminar discusses specific strategies to combat bullying as well as school strategies for the entire school. The research shows that a whole-school approach must be implemented for long-term success in combating bullying.
